Office of the Commander

   Dear all Militia members,

I hope you all have been enjoying your time off from pratices this month. Do to an injury I have not been able to attend our last training exercises. I am looking forward to rejoining all of you soon for tactical training. Arrangements have been made to have a specialists sit in on training sessions and evaluate our conduct and seek out ways to better improve our overall training for emergency situations. Last months test of our emergency communications system succesfully proved the abliity of the Militia to establish emergency comunications in times of disaster. In times of disaster, comunication is the key to preventing the collapse of society as we know it. I am now able to answer any and all quetsions regarding new legislation enacted this year. I have spent my time off, reviewing the stacks of state and federal bills regarding firearms, public safety, disatster preparedness, and vehicle modifacations.

Great California ShakeOut!

Posted by MILITIA COMMANDER on October 18, 2012 at 1:45 PM

On Thursday the 18th of October, more than 9.3 million Californians “dropped, covered and held on" during the 5th annual Great California ShakeOut, the world's largest earthquake drill. Millions of people in schools, businesses, community organizations, government agencies and homes were registered to participate in the 60-second exercise. The event happened just a day after the 23rd anniversary of the Loma Prieta, a 6.9-magnitude earthquake that killed dozens of people in the San Francisco area in 1989.

The largest emergency preparedness drill in Californian history tested the Militia of Central California's response to an earthquake of a 7.6 magnitude.

As to better prepare for reponse to disasters of State, the Militia of Central California participated. All emegency drills were exercised and all  disaster reponse techniques were fully evaluated.
